My growing season here in Canada is almost over so I harvest the green tomatoes and fry them in bear fat with a thin coating of flour and salt. I make the best hamburger I've ever eaten with ground black bear meat, cheddar cheese, jalepeno peppers, onion, mustard and fresh maple ketchup. That's lunch. For dinner, I toast sourdough bread on the outdoor grill in the forest kitchen, add butter and garlic powder (garlic bread) and pile it high with ground meat, tomatoes and cheese.
